Garden In A Box

Purchase a low-water perennial garden kit to transform your yard. Professionally designed for Colorado yards, these kits are easy to install and can help save more than 7,000 gallons of water over the garden’s lifetime compared to a traditional grass lawn. A limited number of discounts are available to Highlands Ranch Water customers.

With Garden In A Box’s collection of starter plants, plant-by-number maps and plant care guides, low-water landscaping doesn’t have to be intimidating. You just pick up the pre-ordered plants at your selected pick-up event, then take them home and plant them according to the maps. Slow The Flow

Get the most out of your sprinkler system and sign up for a free Slow the Flow sprinkler evaluation and learn how you can use your outdoor water wisely. Last year’s Slow the Flow program identified 80% of customers had inefficient watering schedules. After the evaluation and changes were made, more than 485,000 gallons of water was saved in Highlands Ranch alone.

Just like a car, your sprinklers need an occasional check-up. Without routine maintenance, sprinkler systems can end up wasting huge amounts of water.

Resource Central associates will help identify problem areas and efficiency issues. They’ll make minor adjustments to sprinkler heads, so water is getting where it needs to and provide practical sprinkler maintenance tips. In addition, they’ll check the rate and distribution of water from your sprinklers to create a custom watering schedule.

“The technician was terrific,” said a Highlands Ranch Water program participant. “She (the technician) found a leak in my water line and suggested raising a few sprinkler heads. I’m already using less water.”
