Information for Owners

In Colorado, water transfers with the title. The title company should contact Highlands Ranch Water on behalf of the seller to order a final bill for the property. They will provide us with the new buyer’s information.

Once we receive the information from the title company, an account is set up with the new owner’s information within a week of closing. New owners do not need to contact Highlands Ranch Water to set up an account, as it’s already being taken care of.

Information for Renters

If you are renting, contact your property manager regarding the water and wastewater bill for your property. Any agreement regarding lease responsibility for water and wastewater bills is between a tenant and the owner. The bill will stay in the owners name and the tenant will receive a copy of the bill addressed as current resident if the owner has set it up as a rental.
