Centennial Water and Sanitation District released its 2025 proposed budget. The budget planning is guided by Centennial Water’s mission to provide safe, sustainable and reliable water and wastewater services to customers with superior quality and value. The document presents the district’s short-term expenditure plan, developed with an eye on its long-term needs which include a requirement to meet all state and federal regulatory requirements.
Centennial Water’s 2025 proposed budget is available for review on the district’s website at centennialwater.org, and a hard copy is also available at the district’s main office located at 62 Plaza Drive, Highlands Ranch, CO 80129.
Budget Process
Rates and fees are reviewed during the budget process and a public hearing on the budget and rates is held at the November board meeting. New rates generally go into effect the first billing period after Jan. 1.
The public hearing on Nov. 25 is when staff present the proposed budget to the Centennial Water Board of Directors. The public can provide feedback during the specified public comment period and the board will take their comments into consideration before adopting the budget in December.
Centennial Water customers and stakeholders can review the proposed budget, and interested parties may file objections any time prior to the final adoption. Feedback will be accepted via email or mail sent to Centennial Water, Attn: Director of Finance and Administration, 62 Plaza Drive, Highlands Ranch, CO 80129.
