Applications open for Centennial Water's Citizens Engagement Committee
Centennial Water & Sanitation District is seeking applicants for its Citizen Engagement Committee (CEC). The CEC is a volunteer group established in 2021. It is comprised of individuals who reside or own property in Centennial Water’s service area. Members gain an understanding in all aspects of the operations and financing of Centennial Water.
CEC members serve two-year terms, beginning March 2025, concluding in December 2026. The CEC meets quarterly at the request of the Centennial Water board of directors. Members are expected to attend at least three of four quarterly meetings annually.
The committee provides feedback on the organization’s annual operating budget and a variety of special projects. The projects may include water conservation, drought planning, to community messaging.
Desired qualifications include:
- An interest in the water and wastewater industry.
- The ability to serve as a liaison to the community.
- The ability to work and communicate effectively with others.
